My Journey to Healing
Hi, I’m Kim Buys, and my journey into the world of healing began over 15 years ago with a simple but powerful calling – to help others feel beautiful, both inside and out.
After qualifying as a SAASHP and CIDESCO Health and Skincare therapist in 2010, I spent a decade building and running Kemayu Spa. While I loved every moment of that journey, I felt called to something more intimate and focused.
That calling led me to create Aruka Studio – a peaceful sanctuary where I can dedicate my full attention to what I’m most passionate about: skincare treatments and wellness therapies for those struggling with stress, depression, and anxiety.
The name ‘Aruka’ holds special significance for me. In Hebrew, it means healing, restoration, and recovery – three words that perfectly capture what I hope to offer every client who walks through my doors.
I believe that true beauty radiates from within, and my role is to help you discover and nurture that inner glow. Whether you’re dealing with skin concerns, stress, or simply need a moment of peace, I’m here to support your journey to wellness.

After 10 wonderful years of owning and operating Kemayu Spa, I felt God calling me to a new chapter. While I loved the bustling energy of a full spa, my heart was drawing me toward something more intimate and focused.
Aruka Studio represents my return to the core of what I’m most passionate about – creating a peaceful sanctuary where I can offer personalized, one-on-one treatments that truly transform lives.
Located in the beautiful Willow Way Manor in Hillcrest, our studio space is designed to be a haven of tranquility. Here, away from the distractions of the world, we can focus entirely on your healing journey.
